Misquamicut State Beach is a half-mile sandy beach located on Block Island Sound in Westerly. Visitors can enjoy saltwater swimming, picnicking, and the children's playground. Lifeguards are on duty during the summer. There is a large parking lot and the beach and facilities are wheelchair accessible. For your convenience, there are restrooms, showers, and changerooms. Misquamicut beaches were severely affected by Hurricane Sandy. Please check the status of the beach before planning your visit.
