Milne Beach, also known as Matlock Beach is located on the southwestern shore of Lake Winnipeg in the Village of Dunnottar, about 70 km north of Winnipeg off Highway 9. This resort community has tennis and basketball courts and a playground. There are two grocery stores and a restaurant in Dunnottar. The main beach has a number of wooden piers extending into the Lake for great sunset views. It is also home to the Matlock Music Festival, held the second last weekend in August. Swimming is unsupervised.
