Mile beach is one of two beaches located in Reid State Park in Georgetown; the other is Half Mile beach. Lifeguards are on duty daily during the swimming season. Between the two beaches, you will find parking as well as a concession stand, restrooms with showers, and a picnic area.

The water quality at the beach is monitored by Reid SP Beach/Park Manager, Sam Wilkinson.
