Metigoshe Lake Beach
Deloraine, Manitoba, Canada
Just minutes away from the Canada/USA border, Lake Metigoshe, meaning 'clear water lake surrounded by oaks' in the Chippewa dialect, has developed from a summer cottage destination to a small year round community. In the summer, visitors and locals alike enjoy the public beach areas (unsupervised), playgrounds, fishing (mainly for pike, walleye, and perch), boat retals and launches, fire pits, picnic areas, equestrian trails and campig. In the fall, the abundance of wildlife make it a choice destiation for hunting excursions. In the winter, many come back for snowmobiling, ice fishing and cross country skiing.
