Mavillette Beach
Church Point, Nova Scotia, Canada
Mavillette Provincial Park is the place to learn about your natural surroundings. The beach is surrounded by fragile marram grass-covered dunes, with a boardwalk going around and through the dunes. The boardwalk has interpretive panels to teach visitors about the species of the area and bird watching platforms, so bring your binoculars! The long beach is excellent for swimming, the low tide exposes sand bars which heat up in the sun and warms the swimming water during high tide. The beach is supervised by a lifeguard in the summer. The beach has parking, washrooms and changerooms.
Mavillette Beach is tested twice per summer.
