Access to this beach is at East Martin Street. Kill Devil Hills offers wide beaches, white sand, and plentiful public beach access. During summer months, you'll find vacationers boogie boarding, skim boarding, playing beach volleyball, building sandcastles, reading, and lounging. Kill Devil Hills allows beach driving between October 1 and April 30. No permit is required for off-road vehicle driving. Between May 15 and September 15 no dogs are allowed on the public beach between the hours of 9:00 am and 6:00 pm., with the exception of service dogs. Beach bonfires are not permitted. Camping is only permitted in designated campgrounds.
