Main Beach in Ogunquit is a long, sandy beach that forms a barrier between the Atlantic Ocean and the Ogunquit River. It's a great place to swim, sunbathe, or bodysurf. There are lifeguards on duty from June until early September. The beach is wheelchair accessible via a ramp to the sand and a beach wheelchair is available.
Both private and public parking is available at various locations near the beach. There are restrooms and an outdoor shower available at Main Beach. Dogs are not permitted on the beach during the summer season.The beach is closed to public from 11:00 pm to 5:00 am during the months of May through October of each year.
