Maidstone Club in East Hampton, New York is a country club founded by a group of wealthy East Hampton villagers about 120 years ago. Still a private family club, with a tudor revival-style mansion off of Old Beach Lane, it features a private beach, restaurant, pool, tennis house, club house, and both an 18-hole and 9-hole private golf course. This club was ranked 93rd in Golf Digest's list of America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses in 2011, and the golf course is one of the first 100 golf courses in the United States. Private lessons and parties and banquets can be reserved. The club got its name from the original name for East Hampton, which was Maidstone, named after Maidstone in England. This is a Tier III beach.
