Mahia Beach is one of Hawke's Bay's popular holiday spots. It edges a long arcing bay of fine white sand and associated dunes on the Hawke Bayside of Mahia Peninsula. The beach has a small settlement of permanent and holiday residents, and camping ground and store. The beach is popular for swimmers, divers, boaties and beach sports.
