This publicly owned, publicly accessible beach is located in the residential community of Long Beach (which was founded in the 1920s as a resort town), in LaPorte County, Michigan. With a shoreline of approximately 3 miles, this beach is great place to spend summer days on the southeast shores of Lake Michigan. Residents of Long Beach are a mixture of permanent residents and visitors, many of whom visit the town on weekends and through the summer from the nearby metropolis of Chicago. Water quality is tested 3 times per week.
