Laurel Creek Conservation
Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
Located just out of Kitchener-Waterloo, Laurel Creek is a popular destination for windsurfing, hiking, and birdwatching. There is a single beach (unsupervised and with a steep drop-off; parents, please be advised) and several picnic shelters, which can be booked by families, corporate groups, etc. Washrooms are available and equipped with flush toilets and hot showers. Motorized boats are not permitted. Fishing is also possible but not excellent, and the lake features several underwater tree stumps that may be an obstacle to windsurfers and sailboats. Camping and hiking are also available.
