Very nice boat ramp on the lazy Withlacoochee River, with plenty of parking in the largest park (178 acres) by Valdosta-Lowndes County Parks and Recreation Authority (VLPRA). Picnic tables are for free, and a shelter is for rent through VLPRA. Although next to the most populous city in the Suwannee River Basin, the downstream paddle is remarkably rural.

"You can spot deer, raccoons, opossums, and a variety of birds including birds of prey such as hawks, eagles, and owls. An array of indigenous plan life includes large oaks, poplars, river birch, pines, and sweet smelling wild honeysuckle and Carolina jasmine."

Be sure to check the water level on the US 41 gauge. Below 113.8 feet NAVD88 (3.5') you'll be dragging over logs or walking. Above 123' (12.7') you can get lost in the floodplain.

It's 3.14 miles downstream to Sugar Creek Landing, or 6.78 miles to Troupville Boat Ramp, including the last couple of thousand feet up the Little River.
