The Catawba Yacht Club allows its members and guests of members to enjoy water sports on Lake Wylie, Charlotte, NC. CYC was founded in 1939 for the purpose of providing family-oriented sailing and docking facilities for members. The Club house was built near the end of Youngblood Road West on Lake Wylie in 1955. Although many aspects of the Club have changed over the years, providing family-oriented water sports for members remains the primary goal. In addition to a clubhouse with renovated bathrooms and kitchen, Catawba Yacht Club has extensive sailing, rowing and watersports facilities.

The Catawba Yacht Club is a private, non-profit club.
