This swimming area is near the boat ramp at Nottely Dam, approximately 10 miles north of Blairsville, GA. The TVA Recreation Area in the vicinity of the dam includes the 2.5 mile long Nottely Dam Trail offers mountain bikers and hikers views of wildlife and wildflowers. A shorter trail, the mile long Nottely Tailwater Trail, takes hikers down to the Nottely River and picnic area below the dam; hikers can make a loop using the access road.
