Lake Newell Beach
Rainier, Alberta, Canada
This public beach on Lake Newell in Southern Alberta is located in Kinbrook Island Provincial Park. The beach area has a nice stretch of sand near the campground which is great for swimming. Within the provincial park there is lush grassy fields and forested areas. Fishing is best in the middle of the lake, which can be accessed by boat. There are large populations of Walleye and Northern Pike in the lake, but they are strictly catch and release in the area. If you get hungry there are food and drink concessions available near the beach.
