South Beach is the southernmost point of the 900-acre Lake Montauk located two miles east of Montauk town. An area commonly used for sailing, kayaking, and paddle boarding, Lake Montauk offers calm waters and a beautiful view of the surrounding residential area. Parking is available at South Beach by permit only, and there are restrooms that are open seasonally (summertime).
