Lake Minnewasta
Thornhill, Manitoba, Canada

Approximately 0.5km wide and 3km long, Lake Minnewasta was developed from the damming of Dead Horse Creek. Its facilities include a fully serviced campground and RV park; visitors come to swim, fish, sail, hike, paddle and water ski in the summer and cross-country ski, snowmobile and ice fish in the winter. Services include laundry facilities, bathroom and shower facilities and wifi. Colert Beach allows fishing (visitors will mostly find black crappies, through pickerel and Jack/northern pike are not uncommon) and picnicking (picnic areas are available throughout the park), though swimming is prohibited after sundown. The Buhler Boardwalk stretches around the beach and the Kinsmen Footpath connects the campground to the Heritage Pathways trail system of Morden.
