Lac des Roches is a very scenic area that boasts a diverse wildlife population including moose, wolves, cougars, bobcats, and lynx. The lake is also a popular fishing destination with stocks of various species of rainbow trout and gerrard trout. The lake is consistently monitored for water quality by the Friends of the Lac des Roches and Birch Lake society and features resorts, a BC Forest Service Campsite, a boat launch, and boat rentals.
