The Kelvin Strand beach is can be found at the very tip of the Te Atatu peninsula, just outside of Auckland City. The beach is unspoiled white sand sitting in front of a walkway and grassy parkland that’s prime space for sunbathing or picnicking. Visitors can catch fantastic, photo-ready vistas of Auckland’s Sky Tower and the Harbour Bridge, weather permitting. The water here is shallow and frequently muddy, and sand bars stretch out for a considerable distance away from shore during low tide. On-site facilities include a children’s playground.
