The Kawhia Harbour covers more than 6,000 hectares, boasting a diverse sea life. Mussels, pipi, oysters, mud snails and cockles become exposed during low tide. Tides can also affect boat access to the wharf. The wharf makes a perfect fishing spot, especially if your looking to catch king fish.
