This public beach is located between Oak Bluffs and Edgartown. This is one of two locations at Joseph Sylvia State Beach that are sampled for water quality. Joseph Sylvia State Beach is a popular place for families because the waves are small and there is a gradual slope into the water. It can be hard to find parking here so arrive early. In addition to the ocean shoreline, this beach also lies on the Sengecontacket Pond shoreline.
