St. Andrews Picnic Area is under a long term water quality advisory, issued by the Glynn County Health Department. The site is sampled approximately 4 times a year.

St. Andrews Picnic Area is located at the end of Beachview Drive on Jekyll Sound. The area provides beach access and is a popular spot for birding and dolphin watching! Enjoy a walk or picnic in a beautiful setting. Picnic tables and grills are available. For your convenience, there are restrooms. This historic area is also the site of the Wanderer Memorial, which honours the African slaves who were illegally transported to Georgia via the Wanderer ship.
