Island Beach State Park 1 is located within the Island Beach State Park. Many people visit the park for its 10 mile shoreline of white sand, or to enjoy the ocean water for swimming, surfing, and fishing. A lifeguard is on duty from mid-June through Labor Day. Amenities including restrooms, paved parking lots, and a beachfront restaurant are also available at beaches #1 and #2.
