The beach at this park is sandy, with a spectacular view overlooking the Beverly harbor and Coney Island. There is a breakwater and a seawall at this beach, and it is also a great place to launch a canoe or kayak. Be aware of the swimmers though, as there is no on duty lifeguard at this beach. There is only street parking located along Lothrop, there are two handicap spots available. This beach is a popular area for sunbathing, swimming and also walking, jogging, and sitting on benches and looking out over the harbor.
