Hobcaw Creek is used frequently for primary and secondary contact recreation. The creek feeds into the Wando River, which empties into the Charleston Harbor. This sample site is located right next to the Hobcaw Creek Community Dock. Around the corner is the SCSPA Wando Welch Container Terminal, where you can watch containers being loaded and unloading onto ships, and the Hobcaw Yacht Club, where members can enjoy sailing, swimming and many other activities involving boating and the waterfront. Hobcaw Creek is a beautiful spot to enjoy the best of the Charleston waterways.
