The second largest beach in Key West running along Atlantic Boulevard, this wide sandy beach has much to offer. Restroom facilities, shaded picnic tables, full service restaurant and playground across the street. There is a rental facility on the beach that rents beach chairs, rafts and watersport rentals including snorkel equipment. Walk to the end of the nearby pier and descend the concrete steps into the welcoming water and snorkel around the pier to see wonderful sea creatures in 3-4 foot water both on the wall and the ocean floor. Higgs Beach also has a dog park and a bicycle trail. The pier is also an excellent place for a sunset stroll.
