The Herring Cove beach is a beautiful mile long sandy beach with picnic areas on either ends of the beach. Pick up the black rocks to see their interesting white striations. The beach is accessible from the Herring Cove road. At the northern end of the beach visitors will find a parking lot, campgrounds, the Herring Cove golf course, and an observation deck. There are also fish washing stations, picnic areas, washrooms, and playgrounds.

Within Herring Cove Provincial Park, there is plenty more to do! There are RV and camping sites, laundry and shower facilities, and tons of trails marked easy to difficult for all those who love to be surrounded by nature.
