Hearst Memorial State Beach is a popular beach spot located near the historic town of San Simeon.  The beach is protected by a cove, making it favored by ocean kayakers and swimmers.  Restrooms, parking, hiking trails, and a picnic area can also be found in the park, as can a kayak and boogie board concession stand with equipment to rent.  Additionally, the San Simeon Pier is located on this beach and offers visitors pier fishing, and beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean.
