The Head of the Bay Club is a private club located at the end of Bay Road in Huntington, New York. It used to be a privately owned hotel, known as the Clark House, in 1872. Since then it has grown into a large club with over 300 families as members. It boasts a swimming pool, 47 cabanas, 5 tennis courts, 3 winter paddle courts, a basketball court, 2 playgrounds, a cottage for kids, 2 outdoor dining decks and many more facilities. There is also a picnic area next to the beach. The Club is available for catering, private parties, and tennis and sailing programs. There is handicap accessible parking with valet service. Summer hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 8am-5pm, closed Sunday and Monday. Must reside in Huntington Township to be a member. This is a Tier II beach.
