Hayward Lake is a popular BC Hydro recreation site in the Lower Mainland, between Mission and Maple Ridge, BC.
BC Hydro encourages the public to enjoy the area. Please follow the parking policies, as they are in place to ensure public safety and emergency access.
Recreational activities enjoyed in the area include small boat use, fishing, swimming, picnicking, hiking, a designated off-leash dog area, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, photography and general enjoyment of the outdoors. Please be respectful of others and of the environment, and always take your trash with you when enjoying the trails and beaches.
Facilities at Hayward Lake include:
Open grass play areas
Gazebo picnic shelter
Car-top boat reservoir access ramp to high water
90 m long developed beach
Wheelchair accessible facilities
Washroom facility complete with change rooms and beach shower
Fishing
Hiking and mountain biking trails
Information displays
Drinking water
Off-leash dog area (please note that dogs are not allowed at the main beach area)
