City of Gulf Shores Public Beach offers multiple access points for the public to enjoy the Gulf of Mexico’s sandy beaches and water. Located at the end of Alabama State Highway 59, the main lot requires a daily fee. Onsite amenities include beach attendants, open-air pavilions, picnic areas, restrooms and showers. Free parking may be found to west of the main lot at the 2nd Street, 5th Street, 6th Street, and 13th Street accesses. Find plenty of parking at 2nd Street, along with a handicap-accessible restroom, covered pavilion with picnic tables, and outdoor shower. Outdoor showers and boardwalks leading to the beach are provided at 5th Street and 6th Street, where a handicap-accessible restroom is located. The 13th Street access offers parking on the northern side of the road, boardwalks, and outdoor showers. The 4th Street access is strictly for pedestrians.
