Great Marsh Park Beach

Great Marsh Park Beach is an unguarded beach located at Gerry Boyle Park at Great Marsh along the shores of the Choptank River in Cambridge, MD. The beach includes a small sandy area protected from the river by bordering marshes and breakwaters constructed with stone riprap. The beach is within a city-managed park and includes a playground, boat ramp, grass field, picnic shelters, and docks for your boat and to fish from. Facing upriver, the beach offers a great vista of the Fredrick C. Malkus Bridge on US Rt. 50. The beach is not guarded and there are no permanent restrooms on site. Testing is conducted as part of the Swimmable ShoreRivers bacteria monitoring program and samples are collected weekly on every Thursday between from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
