Grande-Anse Beach is located in Chaleur Bay in the Acadian Peninsula region. It is near the Grande-Anse village founded in 1808 and the total population about 738 people. The first official language spoken in the area is French about 94% and English is the second spoken language. The charming seaside town has a rich history and very colourful Acadian lighthouses. The saltwater beach is not supervised, but it has many facilities such as washrooms and change rooms. Additionally, there are picnic areas, parking lots, as well there are restaurants near the beach. If you have kids, there is a children’s playground on site as well. For young sport junkies, there are volleyball courts, kayaking and hiking trails. The beach is surrounded by wave sculpted rock formations and very nice sceneries. If you are looking for a more romantic small gateway, you could take a walk along the shoreline and watch the sunrise or the sunrise well enjoying the numerous sheltered bird species in the area.
