Gold Star Battalion Beach is a town-owned public beach set on the Huntington Bay. Enjoy beaches and dunes and a great view of the sound. This is a great spot to watch shore birds and collect shells. It offers a pier and a marina, restrooms, picnic tables, a payphone, and a playground. Small boat launching and other activities such as fishing and kayaking are allowed. Hours are 8:30am to 8pm seven days per week, from the end of May through the beginning of September. There is a large parking lot, but a town permit is required at all times. Handicap accessible. No pets allowed and there are no food concessions. This is a Tier I beach.
