Gillin's Beach, Mahaulepu
Poipu, Hawaii, United States

Gillin's Beach, also called Mahaulepu, is a remote and beautiful beach that is named after the Gillin family residency at the beach. It is accessible by the Koloa Heritage Trail, and is worth the hike for the cliffside vistas, black lava rocks, and crystal clear blue waters. It is also accessible by a long dirt road which rental cars are prohibited from driving on. This is a popular spot for windboarding and boogie boarding. Waiopili stream empties in to the ocean at Gillin's house, causing the immediate site to be polluted, while the long stretch of beach to the east has clean water.
