Fox Hole Landing is a public landing site in the upper Sassafras River. There is a short cement boat ramp for small motorized boats. The ramp is too shallow for large motorized boats to be launched. During low tide, there is a small beach area for swimming and fishing. Foxhole landing is a popular destination for paddlers who want to explore the Upper Sassafras. The landing is 2 miles from the head of the Sassafras so the river can be narrow and shallow but paddlers will experience beautiful scenery and wildlife as they paddle. Kent County Landing permits are required for trailers. There is a portable toilet at this site. This bacteria site is funded by community members of Fox Hole Landing.
