The Friends of Deckers Creek Outdoor Learning Park (OLP) is a public park with an outdoor classroom pavilion, a community mural, a picnic pavilion, benches, gardens, educational signs, and access to Deckers Creek. The OLP sits directly on the Deckers Creek rail trail, so the nearby Marilla Park is just a short walk from our OLP and vice versa. We encourage everybody to visit our park and to bring their dogs, families, and friends, and enjoy the beautiful gardens and view of Deckers Creek.

Important Notes: This is not a designated swimming area. This site is located downstream of a Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO). Use caution especially after periods of rain. Please use designated trash receptacles.

Directions: The OLP is located on the Deckers Creek rail trail in Sabraton, West Virginia, behind the Kroger on Earl L. Core Road. Parking is available at the back left area of the Kroger parking lot. There is a short walking path from the OLP that leads to an opening along the creek with benches.

Friends of Deckers Creek is a nonprofit watershed group that serves to monitor and protect Deckers Creek and its tributaries. To learn more, visit deckerscreek.org.
