Flax Pond is a great destination for swimming, picnicking, and many other activities. The beach and pond are part of the Flax Pond Recreation Site, which offers visitors ballfields, tennis courts, and basketball courts. There is a lifeguard on duty at the beach during the summer season. There is a roped-off swimming area and a dock to jump off. A beach parking sticker or daily/weekly parking fee is required to park in the beach lot. Handicap spaces are available.
