Figure Eight Lake PRA Beach
County of Northern Lights, Alberta, Canada

There is a small, sandy beach and a large grassy area on the shores of Figure Eight Lake in the Provincial
Recreation Area. The lake has a very low depth and the boat launch is only available for hand launching.
Fishing is a popular activity here and there is also a small campground, a picnic shelter and a playground.
Figure Eight Lake takes its name from the shape it had before 1970 when the water level was low; in
these earlier days the lake had two basins and resembled a figure eight.
