This Greenport beach is located at the end of Fifth Street on the east end of Long Island. All of the Greenport Town Beaches require a Southold Town parking sticker. The Greenport Town Beaches are located on the Peconic Bay and the Long Island Sound; the Fifth Street beach overlooks Piping Cove. All of the Greenport beaches have a long history. This beach features a playground, a basketball court, boat slips, a wide beachfront, and a fishing pier. The North Ferry line that runs to Shelter Island is located nearby. This is a Tier II beach.
