Elk's Beach at Lac La Nonne

Elk's beach is a privately run beach area with an area for day use and picnicking. Lac La Nonne is translated as "Nun Lake" and has a history of being hypertrophic, meaning there is a lot of algae, especially in July and August. The beach is well maintained with a playground area. The water frontage is weedy and shallow. The Lac La Nonne Stewardship Group has been undertaking a number a watershed research and land management proposals to improve the state of the watershed. There is a boat launch adjacent to the beach.

Located 14 km south of the Town of Barrhead on Highway 33 and east on Highway 651 and offers full services (water and power hook-ups).
