El Pescador State Beach
Malibu, California, United States

This is one of the small pocket beaches that comprise the “Robert Meyer Memorial State Beach”. El Pescador is Spanish for the “Fisherman”. True to its name, it is a popular spot for surf fishing. It also attracts diehard surfers who enjoy the great waves. Locals love this quiet and secluded beach because you can bask, play, and relax in relative privacy. It is a small beach with a nice mix of rocks and sand from which you might see a magnificent sunset. A small self-pay parking lot is accessed from PCH. Portable restrooms are located at the top of the trail that leads down to the beach. The trail to the beach is steep and narrow with some steps along the way. If you struggle with stairs or hiking, you may find the trail challenging. It is not handicapped accessible or family friendly.
