Edisto Island, a sea island, is said to offer some of South Carolina's most uncommercialized and family-oriented beaches. With over 4 miles of beaches, there is plenty of space to relax. Edisto's beaches have no amenites and there are no lifeguards on duty so swim at your own risk. Access to the beach is available through most cross streets. Loggerhead turtles nest of the beaches at Edisto Island so please be respectful. Dogs must be on a leash.
