Beautiful ocean front sandy beaches line Emerald Isle. The town plans to build a new, hurricane resistant pier house to replace the one that was destroyed by hurricanes and dismantled in 1990. Amenities at the Eastern Ocean Regional Access include picnic shelters, bathhouse and paid public parking. This beach is supervised by lifeguards during the main swimming season.
