BEACH INFO:

Highlands is a unique rural district consisting primarily of small family homes and hobby farms. Interestingly, Highlands has no commercial centre. The only non-residential buildings are a community hall and two volunteer fire stations. Highlands does, however, offer a wide variety of venues for outdoor recreational activity. Gowlland Tod Provincial Park, Lone Tree Hill Provincial Park, and Mount Work Regional Park can all be accessed from Highlands. These parks offer nature trails and mountain biking trails for visitors to enjoy.
Eagles Lake is sampled monthly from May to September.
