The Durand Lake Recreation Area is owned by the town and is maintained by the Randolph Foundation with hiking trails maintained by the Randolph Mountain Club. Access to the area is from Route 2 across from Trails Parking near the tennis court, from Durand Road via the Baldwin Bridge, or the Ravine House Pool Bridge. During the summer from July 1-Labor Day, the Moose River is dammed to provide a swimming pool which was first created in 1963. There is no lifeguard on duty. There are swings, a slide, a sheltered area with picnic tables, and a bath house available for use.
