Doug's Beach is a Washington State Park and an advanced windsports site in the Columbia Gorge. For the less adventurous, it's a great beach to observe the kites and sails on the river, have a picnic, or take a refreshing dip in the Columbia. In the summer the river stays shallow quite a ways from the shore for easy wading. Volunteers with Columbia Riverkeeper's water quality monitoring program have adopted Doug's Beach and monitor once a month from June-September. To access the beach, park in the designated spots along the southside of HWY 14 and follow the walkway that crosses the railroad tracks towards the river. The track is fenced and there are railroad crossing arms on the pathway, but always be careful of oncoming trains.

Summer Hours: 6:30 a.m. to dusk.

Winter Hours: 8 a.m. to dusk.

Amenities: Picnic tables and port-a-potties.
