Ditch Plains Beach, only two miles from the heart of Montauk, is known as the surfer's beach because the waves draw in the best surfers on Long Island. However, it’s loved by locals and visitors alike. The beach boasts breathtaking cliffs and sand dunes. Restrooms, showers, and concessions are available. Lifeguards are on duty daily from 10am-5pm, from Memorial Day to Labor Day. An East Hampton Town beach parking permit is required year-round to park. Driving on the beach is permitted but a permit is required.
