Dingle Beach
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

Dingle Beach is an exciting place to visit; there are activities there that everyone can enjoy. The beach is located in Sir Stanford Fleming Park; to get there from the peninsula, you must exit the Armdale Roundabout on to Herring Cove Road, turn on to Purcells Cove Road and then make a final turn on to Dingle Road which you will follow to your destination. Public transportation is an available and reliable option. There are also available parking spaces on-site.
Dingle Beach has a cozy stretch of sand adjacent to the Northwest Arm river. Sir Stanford Fleming Park is on the other side of the beach; there, one may visit Dingle Tower to get an impressive view of the surroundings or explore the many exhilarating trails. Please note that there are no lifeguards supervising the beach or municipal water monitoring.
Fun Fact: Sir Stanford Fleming (famous for his creation of Coordinated Universal Time) donated the park grounds in the 1880’s – the park would then be named after him.
