Devereux
Marblehead, Massachusetts, United States
Devereaux beach is on Ocean Avenue, and lies along a sand bar connecting Marblehead Neck to the mainland. This is Marblehead’s main public beach, with lifeguards on duty from the end of June to Labor Day weekend. It is a cobble/sandy beach where swimming and sunbathing are the main activities. The waves can get big and there is an occasional undertow so use caution when swimming, especially for younger ones. Pavilions, benches, picnic tables, a playground and a privately leased restaurant are also nearby. Parking is available for a charge for visitors without a current resident facility sticker.
